What is TNT Local Exchange?

TNT Local Exchange is a network of more than 1,000 local businesses around the country that offer parcel pick-ups and drop-offs, giving receivers the ability to collect or return their TNT parcel at a time and location that’s convenient for them.

TNT Local Exchange service locations are made up of NParcel's independent newsagents – many with extended trading hours and seven-day-a-week accessibility. It’s an innovative solution that puts you and your customers in control.

For collections outside our usual hours, on-demand collection service means your goods can start their journey whenever you're ready.

PARCEL STATUS

Q. Why is my parcel at a TNT Local Exchange?

  • A TNT driver has attempted to deliver your parcel to your home and you were not home to receive it. A "Sorry We Missed You" card has been left and the driver has marked the box on the card as 'your parcel has been taken to a TNT Local Exchange'. You will now be able to collect your parcel from the TNT Local Exchange when it suits you in the next 7 days.

Q. How do I know which TNT Local Exchange location the parcel has been taken to?

  • Simply, visit our Sorry We Missed You website and type in your consignment note number, recorded on the 'Sorry We Missed You card'. Once the driver has delivered your parcel to a TNT Local Exchange location, the location details will appear along with a map and their trading hours. If your consignment is on its way, you can register your email and phone number and we will alert you as soon as it arrives at the TNT Local Exchange location and is ready for you to collect.

Q. How do I collect my parcel from a TNT Local Exchange?

  • You will need to take your ‘Sorry We Missed You card’ or electronic notification along with photo ID to the TNT Local Exchange location. Present these details at the store counter and you will be able to collect your parcel. Your photo ID must match the name and/or delivery address for your parcel.
Q. Can someone else collect my parcel on my behalf?
 
  • Yes, your parcel can be collected by someone else on your behalf. They will need to present their photo ID and the address must match the original delivery address.
Q. Is there any cost to collect my parcel? 
 
  • No, there is no cost to collect your parcel
Q. How long do I have to collect my parcel?
 
  • You have 7 days to collect your parcel from the TNT Local Exchange location. After 7 days, your parcel will be returned to the sender 

TNT LOCAL EXCHANGE LOCATION RESTRICTIONS

Q. Why can't all my parcels be taken to a TNT Local Exchange location?

  • Most of our home delivery consignments are small parcels. Occasionally we have larger parcels or other parcels containing dangerous goods which are not suitable to store at a TNT Local Exchange site. If your consignment is not suitable to be collected from a TNT Local Exchange, the 'Sorry We Missed You' card will be marked as 'your parcel has been returned to a TNT Depot and we are awaiting for your instructions'. Then, simply jump online to Sorry We Missed You website and follow the prompts to arrange a collection from a TNT depot and re-delivery.

Q. Can I have my parcel delivered directly to a TNT Local Exchange location?

  • The option to have your parcel delivered directly to a TNT Local Exchange location may be available for selected customers. For customers looking to add the TNT Local Exchange option to their online checkout please contact AUTLE@tnt.com.au.
