Surcharges

Surcharges are additional charges that are mandatory and applicable to your TNT shipments.

When shipping consignments with TNT, the following surcharges apply: 

Fuel surcharge

TNT applies an index-based fuel surcharge to all shipments.

Domestic surcharge

From 1st June, the TNT will not charge any kilometer charges on domestic shipments, all shipments to and from the provincial areas will be charged 1 € per shipment. (Excluding shipments between Athens, Thessaloniki and Heraklion, Crete).

Out-of-area surcharge

In case your TNT delivery is located in remote or less accessible areas, the following charges occur:

0.35 € charge per kilo (minimum charge 18 €)

Enhanced security surcharge

TNT has implemented additional procedures, activities and investments to safeguard our customers' shipments whilst in our custody. To partially offset the additional costs an Enhanced Security Surcharge is applied to all shipments.

The surcharge will be levied on all international Express, Economy Express and Special Express shipments at the rate of €0.05 per kilo*, subject to a minimum of €0.50 and maximum €10.00 per shipment.

For airfreight shipments, a surcharge is levied at the rate of €0.09 per kilo*. The minimum surcharge is based on a weight of 100kg. There is no maximum charged weight.

*TNT uses a volumetric conversion factor to calculate whether a shipment will be charged according to its statistical weight or volumetric weight - whichever is greater.
