Fuel surcharge in America (ex. USA)

These rates apply to invoices issued in all American countries, except the United States. Other rates apply in all other countries. TNT Express' fuel surcharge will be adjusted monthly in line with the change in USGC kerosene-type jet fuel price according to the following scale:
 

Express Fuel Surcharge Rate:

3rd December - 31st December 2017 : 9.25%
29th October - 2nd December : 9.75%
1st October - 28th October : 9.0%
 

Ground Fuel Surcharge Rate:

5th March 2017 - 1st April 2017 - 8.75%
29th January 2017 - 4th March 2017 - 8.75%
1st January 2017 - 28th January 2017 - 8.25%

Highway Diesel Fuel Prices

The surcharge is based on the rounded National U.S. Average On Highway Diesel Fuel Prices reported by the U.S. Department of Energy for the month that is two months prior to the adjustment. For example the surcharge for February 2012 is based on the December 2011 National U.S. Average On Highway Diesel Fuel Price. Link to U.S. 

US Gulf Coast Jet Fuel

The index-based fuel surcharge for countries in America (except United States) is based on the US Gulf Coast jet fuel spot price. It will be subject to monthly adjustments based on a rounded average of the spot price for a gallon of jet kerosene, as published by the US Department of Energy www.eia.doe.gov . To download the latest price table (in PDF format) from their website, click here. An index based on jet kerosene is considered an appropriate method as it closely links the fuel surcharge to the prevailing market price for jet fuel.

Please be aware that there will be a 1-month lag in the application of the fuel surcharge index. For example, the monthly average price for US Gulf Coast jet fuel in April will be published during the second week of May and will be used to determine the applicable fuel surcharge in June.

TNT Express reserves the right to change the fuel surcharge index and table without notice. Both the amount and duration of the surcharge will be determined at TNT Express' sole discretion.
