The new daily route will improve delivery times for imports to customers by over two hours and extend collection times for exports - also by two hours - giving TNT a competitive advantage over other express carriers in the region.
TNT operations at Turku airport will be supported by a dedicated ground handling team and a fully operational company-owned warehouse. Prior to opening this new air link, TNT Express serviced Turku and its surrounding area using road connections and uplift from Helsinki airport.

The new route not only provides market-leading connectivity for our global network of customers, but also strengthens our operations within Finland.”
The new air connection will also enable TNT Express to re-route its aircraft from the Estonian capital Tallinn to Turku, rather than the previous routing through Helsinki. This means a 25 minute improvement on departure times from Tallinn where TNT will now depart 90 minutes later than both DHL and UPS, again further strengthening its competitive advantage.
